Meet Mistie - Authentic. Grounded. Invested in Your Journey.
I was born and raised off-grid in the Yukon, where my parents farmed sustainably on a remote homestead outside Dawson City, Yukon. Growing up immersed in nature: farming, fishing, and hunting, instilled in me a deep respect for land, a love of outdoor living, and the grit that grounds everything I do in real estate today.
My interest in real estate took hold early. During home-schooling, a simple social studies assignment called “creating a beauty spot” sparked what became a lifelong passion for interior design, styling, and eventually, helping others discover spaces they love. That instinct to improve, organize, and transform has shaped how I approach every client experience.
Before real estate, I spent over a decade in public service, working for both the Federal and provincial governments. As a certified Accounting Clerk, I advanced into roles in financial and office management, procurement, community planning, and legislative development—skills that now support my approach to contracts, compliance, and strategic negotiation.
In 2011, my husband and I founded one of Western Canada’s first fully online accounting firms. We focused on empowering small businesses through education, accuracy, and transparency, values I now carry into every home and land transaction I facilitate.
For the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a licensed real estate professional in both BC and Alberta. Whether helping a young family settle into a new neighborhood or guiding seasoned investors through complex transactions, I approach each relationship with care, clarity, and a deep belief that buying and selling property can be a grounded, empowering, and even joyful process.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me biking forest trails, kayaking coastal inlets, or tending my garden at home in Nanoose Bay. I’m endlessly inspired by the landscapes that surround us and passionate about helping clients find the space—indoors and out—that fits their lifestyle. I also love woodworking, especially designing custom fences and privacy screens, and I’ll never turn down a good amber ale or a local roast. Life here is meant to be lived, and I love helping others find where that starts!
